Week 31: Senior Year with Hudson

Most Important Part:  Learning grammar and important things about people's minds and society. We have learned a lot about others and ourselves in Hudson's class. The stories that we read have taught us things. They make us think and form opinions. Thank you for making us work and think hard, Hudson! Hardest Part:  Assignments and projects that were too close together with little time to do them. It was difficult for me, but I made it!!!  I wish I was able to take a study hall this year. It would have helped a lot. At least I got a taste of working and cramming school work in too. and also getting little sleep. Thing I Learned or Improved on The Most:  I think I improved on functioning with little sleep. It is unbelievable how stressful your senior year can get. I always found myself cramming my homework in between work and sleep. Sometimes, I stayed up to finish my work. Most nights, I couldn't keep my eyes open. Favorite Memory:  I have man...

Week 30: My Will is Your Peace

JUNIORS: I hope that one day, you guys will be SOOO much nicer. I hope you lead the underclassmen with pride. Washburn is going to change for the better. Will you be a part of that change? I would love to pass down a senior will of wisdom. This will would have the little wisdom I have acquired from my journey so far. I have learned a lot of things that would be VERY useful to the juniors. Most of my wisdom is about appreciating what you have, loving all you can, and helping people become happier. I love to focus on the positive because life is awesome!!! I have learned to let most things go. I still have a few things I'm holding on to, but I will let them go eventually. I have also learned to be kind to others. You don't know what is going on in their life or their head. There is no need to be anything but nice and respectful. I have also learned to lend a hand, a shoulder, or an ear whenever possible. Sometimes, people just need a little help or some support. Lord kno...

Week 29: Always Stay Humble and Kind

To the graduating class of 2019 at LWHS, PLEASE OPEN YOUR MINDS TO WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY. All of you need to admit when you are wrong. Quit arguing and thinking you are right all of the time. Also, BE KIND. You guys are mean. No one likes mean people. No one needs all of that hate and negativity. Also, TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR SCHOOL. Your teachers care about you, and some devote their lives to making yours better. OPEN YOUR  EYES AND HEARTS TO THEM. Feel grateful for what you have. You have it pretty good here at LWHS. Your teachers care a lot about you, and most of them will drop what they are doing to help you. In a bigger school, you wouldn't get that. So respect your teachers by doing your best in their classes and treating them right. Tell them how much you appreciate them!!!  DO ALL OF YOUR WORK ON TIME. You can make it through all of your classes if you actually DO YOUR WORK and TRY YOUR BEST and TURN IN YOUR WORK ON TIME. Your classes aren't that hard. If you have a ...

Week 28: My 5-head

As you all know, I have a big forehead. When i was younger, my sister used to slap my forehead for kicks and giggles. I didn't like it too much, but it also didn't bother me a whole lot. One day, she slapped my forehead and kept her hand there. Her face was in total shock when she saw that she could fit all 5 of her fingers on my forehead without struggle. "Jessica! I can fit all 5 of my fingers on your forehead!" she exclaimed. "Congratulations!" I shot back. I was always a butt to her, and she was a butt to me. "You don't have a FOUR-head, you have a FIVE-head!!!" she teased and burst into laughter. So now, I call my forehead a five-head. People sometimes say to me "nice forehead". But I KNOW those pricks don't actually mean it. So I lift my head up with pride and say "THANK YOU, but I have a FIVE-HEAD!!!"

Week 27: Baby Delivery and Care Nurse for a Day

My dream job is to be a nurse for young kids, especially babies. I LOVE BABIEESSS!!!!!!!!! I am going to study to be a neonatal nurse, which is a nurse of little babies. If I got to be a labor and delivery nurse for a day, I would be truly honored. The miracle of life is such a fascinating and special thing. Being a part of the welcoming of the baby to the world would be awesome!!! I would love assessing the baby, recording the data, and helping get them washed up, dry, and warm. I would especially be excited for when they are all ready to be brought back to their family. I'm really emotional, so I probably would cry! 💖

Week 26: All of the Time in the World

If time stopped and I had all of the time in the world, I would vacation. I would travel to different places and explore. I would go to tons of beaches, mountains, forests, amusement parks, cruises, and a lot more! I would meet tons of new people and form new relationships. I would write my adventures in a journal to always remember them and maybe publish it. I would eat all kinds of foods and try new activities. I would love to listen to different music and learn about other cultures. All of this time and having this experience would provide a perfect passage to eternal peace.

Week 25: The Cure to the Epidemic of Senioritis

I definitely have a mild case of senioritis. It only gets worse when you work late school nights and weekends. My life is so busy with work. School, Subway, cleaning at home, babysitting, scholarship essays, and college admission processes. I don't have any leisure time. When I do, I go visit family or sleep. For 3 Sundays in a row, I went to church, then to Eli's Coffee Shop for iced cocoa, and chilled in the bay window nook to do homework while sipping on the sugar loaded chocolate beverage that I love so much. I can't wait for the time between high school graduation and the first day of college. I'm going to be getting my room decluttered, pet-free, deep-cleaned, and personalized. I will be working a lot of hours at Subway and doing other things to earn extra cash. I will save as much money as possible. But don't get me wrong, I will go have some fun!!!!!

Week 24: Toddler Me

I didn't have many toys as a child because I never wanted to sit around in the house. I would go outside in any weather condition and play with my friends!!! Or if it was storming, we would go to each other's houses and play. So since I didn't play with toys much when I got older, I will tell you about the toys I had when I was a toddler. My grandma had a ton of toys that I LOVED to play with when she would watch me. her living room was filled with toys just for me. We were best friends!!! I had toys like kaleidoscopes and a board that had plastic pieces you could fit together to make pictures of things. I had a harmonica, cash register, phone, coloring books, etc. After my grandma passed away, I put the toys that were at her house away for a long time. I couldn't play wiht them without thinking of all of the fun we had together..
